I am going for the next three to six months on a course of meridia. It is for the goal of losing approximately 35 pounds. I have yet to ever use anything like it so i will post up weekly results from today 18 November 2009, until completion.

Stats are as follows.

Height: 75"
Weight: 250 lbs weighed 19 Nov 09
Neck: 19"
Waist(natural): 44" relaxed 41.5 "sucked in"
Waist(lower): 42"
Chest: 49"
L Arm: 15.5 hanging
R Arm: 15.5 " " "
L Thigh: 27"
R Thigh:27"

Workout routine is really slow for now, still three times a week like always but i am doing light work full body for each day, just need to get back into the rythym. I am not looking to get back into super heavy weights, just want to be functionally lean. We shall see.
For today as a note, i have felt full/satisfied all day and i have been on just my protein shake am, noon shake and three eggs for dinner. Snack of handful of almonds, put half back. It is impressive to say the least and i wanted to test it out, made lime chili wings for the wife and burgers for the kiddos tonight(free for all night once a month) and i didnt eat any of it. Didnt want to. You still get hungry but as soon as you start eating you feel fuller immediately. I would have to race to eat as much as i usually do.

update,

Meridia is amazing. I can effectively diet with protein shakes, almonds for snacks, and dinners are not a gorge fest. Last night the wife made shake and bake chicken legs, usually i have about four, i had one with the sides, brocoli and corn. I dont have to eat anymore just to feel normal. With my weekly test injections of 100mg from the doc and my weekly 100mg(shhh dont tell!!) i am losing weight because i feel it, i promised myself i would only weigh myself once a week so we will see in a couple days. For those in my situation or those wishing to diet without cravings, meridia is a damn miracle. It is not for everyone and remember to read all the label info, I am not a Doctor, dont take just my advice. But it is the shnizz.

Great job, HD!

I love the topic for this thread. Great log to keep. Can't wait to keep reading more, especially as the weeks go by.

Weight: 243 lbs weighed 26 Nov 09
Neck: 19"
Waist(natural): 42" relaxed 40 "sucked in"
Waist(lower): 39.5"
Chest: 48.5"
L Arm: 16 hanging
R Arm: 16 " " "
L Thigh: 26.5"
R Thigh:26.5"

Well that is good enough proof for me that the meridia can control my appetite to an extreme degree. I didnt change exactly what i ate, i just ate a lot less. The test is probably keeping me up there in weight but losing inches of my waist, gaining on my arms tells me all is in order for now. Damn i feel like i am 20 again. I remember i would stack up a little weight and in a week have it all gone. I miss those days but i hope to be there on my own within 6 months! Hope this helps you all. By the way, Have a Happy Thanksgiving! It might just be a bit of a cheat day for me!!! haha

HD,

With less appetite/calories, how are your workouts going? Any differences in strength/endurance?

workouts are great, overall. i do notice a bit of lag in the latter part of the workout but i am not complaining at all. It just feels good to be productive again in the gym.

Sounds like it's working pretty good for you. Is there any thermogenic effect from the meridia or did you check your temp?

never thought to as it is a different mechanism to my knowledge. It runs a different path through the effect on the reuptake of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine, which in the long run makes me feel satisfied. I can eat a kids meal cheeseburger and feel as though i just ate a double whopper with large fries and a large soda. Awesome stuff but no thermos to note.

Well your metabolism is probably pretty high anyway. The control will help you lose. I just thought inhibiting norepinephrine reuptake may have a thermogenic effect. It's a pain typing on this friggin blackberry.
