BTW, what is the difference between na r-ala and r-ala?

It looks like from what I read that you can just take more r-ala and it will equal what you would take less of from na-r-ala.

Well, yes and no... I had no idea how tenuous the substance was with regards to bioavailability, light, heat, moisture and air. I remember well my first experience w/R+ala. Below is a section of an email I sent to Gero Nova:

"My name is *****. I am not with any specific company. Previously, I used R+ ala for a long time. It changed my life. I've never experienced anything like it since. I could ramble on forever... I took so much I had to switch to capping my own powders to make it affordable. With the uncapped powders came a noticeable loss of effect. (I still have one half of a kilo of polymerized R+ala sitting in a tupperware container). It became impractical for me to use, but I've been waiting for a more stable, bioavailable form to emerge. It seems I may have found it here with Gero Nova."

My first run with R+ala was from Stynct in gelcaps. The powder was bright yellow and dry as dust. When I cracked open a gelcap, the powder floated through the air like a wispy cloud. It was that dry and fine. It worked very well. I moved to powders and capped them myself. The integrity of product I bought not protected from the elements inside a gelcap degraded and became moist and clumpy. I did not know anything was wrong at the time as the loss of effect was occurring. I thought maybe it was just my mind playing tricks on me. Now I understand. Not only that, but from what I've read, even the highest quality powder inside a gelcap such as what I started with is only minimally bioavailable due to body temperature. It is called "polymerization" and makes the substance useless to the body. However, whatever amount was absorbed worked very well.

Marketing ploy? Maybe, but I doubt it... and I do believe regular R+ala is still effective if the powder has been handled properly. Yet, I firmly believe this new Na R+ala is even more effective through product stability and bioavaility. I feel safer with it. I am using it now with great effect. Peace of mind means a lot to me. I know it is nearly 100% bioavailable and does not have to be refridgerated. I take some with me everywhere I go.

I've tried to get a hold of this company for over a week. They have the most piss poor customer service I've seen for supplements. What a shame.

Regarding the initial question - I failed to see anything of signfigance in return from my experience with R-ALA. From a cost-benefit standpoint I decided to eliminate it from by supp. collection.

I disagree. I definitely noticed a difference with R-ala. It's easy to tell when you are cycling your carbs...

Or perhaps when you are suffciently lean. Are the improvements aestetical, or performance? When I dropped it (after extended use) I didn't notice or feel a sig. decrease in either.
