an experienced sports science doctor recently informed me that most whey protein actually added Androgen inside their protein powder, but to an amount that doesn't have to be disclosed in their nutrition facts table nor to the FDA,

this research is done by the International Olympic Committee, where ~220 whey protein brand are put into test and turn out 85% of them have Androgen (men's hormone) as their active ingredient.

anybody heard about that?

thanks

i had not heard that, i do know that some supplements were found to be contaminated with low levels of anabolics. for the mfgr to intentionally add them would not make any sense.

I heard that a couple of years ago, but only with obscure brands.

Were it "in SOME whey supplements" it would have had a lot more credibility than asserting "in MOST", as they do. In any case, most of these reports tend to refer to trace amounts of AAS. If the contamination is on the ppm or ppb scale it doesn't seem concerning (nor anabolic, lol) at all. They would probably be better off searching for more dangerous things like heavy metals, but that wouldn't give the news the sensationalistic aura they are so eagerly looking for.
