Just out of interest, what would happen if you injected a vein or artery by mistake?? I mean is it 10 seconds to live or what??

I believe I have read on here where someone did it and it made them dizzy and pass out? Somethin to that extent I believe. From what I have read it takes at least 1cc of air injected into a vein before it harms you. I wouldn't go testing that theory though! 😛 lol j/k

there is a possiblity that it can cause a heart attack.

i have done this before several times when I was completely unknowledgable about what I was doing. I never aspirated and did in fact inject some into a vein...I had gotten very dizzy and started coughing heavily for a little while...Everything subsided..You will not die...As said above it takes quite a bit of air injected directly into your vein...Aspiration is very important as I found out the hard way...lol

I injected a bit into a vein. I injected fine and aspirated fine but while injected the needle backed out and must have gone into a vein. As soon as i pulled the needle out i saw blood come out and i got very light headed, heart started racing, i started sweating, started caughing very badly, i felt like i was gonna pass out. Needless to say i freaked out but got a hold of myself and starteddrinking lots of water and tried to control my breathing to get my heartbeat back in check. It took a good 15minutes for the dizzyness to fade.
Needless to say it sucked.

I sure wouldn't say that you can't die from it. I happened to think its a good possibility, although I don't know anyone who has died directly from it.

To be honest the needle had just backed out for the last bit of oil....probably only .5CC. But anymore intense a feeling like that i am sure i would have passed out. Its very very scary to have your body go ape shit like that. I definatly dont want to experience that again.
