my friend made a batch of prop and filtered it into a vial that wasn't crimped. so when he draws out his prop he takes the rubber stopper out and draws it up and replaces the rubber stopper when he is done. he said he was tired of getting little rubber pieces in his shots. will this affect his batch of prop, removing the rubber stopper each time? please let me know! thanks
Well, he can get an infection doing this. Even if there is BA in the solution. Every time he opens that bottle air flows in carrying with it particulate mater, bacterial and viral contagents, and other airborne organism/particles. I would tell him to re filter the entire solution and then put it into new vials. If he doesnt want the rubber to be in the vial, then tell him to split it up into several smaller vials so that he doesnt have to puncture the stopper on each one as often. That will make the stopper hold up much longer.
thanks goanna! you always have useful info!! would doing what he is doing, opening it up to air each time, mess up the strength of the solution?
No it wont mess up the strength of the solution, but it might make it insterile.
I dont think it matters really.I Look at it like this ,the pin is exposed to open air, most people inject air into their vial anyway. Why dosnt he just make up 10days worth at a time so its always new?(10cc vials)I also happen to keep antibiotics on hand just in case/ for what its worth ,but havent needed to use them.Just dont breath into or onto your vial/pin with your nasty stank breath!

Bump G.. or if your friend is as lazy as he sounds he can get some of the red stoppers that don't need crimpers and just switch them when they turn into a pin cushion..
yes it is very unsanitary.......BA kills shit yes...but the reason for filtering is to get all the "spores" out of the solution........some spores are so nasty they can actually liqufy ones organs!!!!!!! .45 filter is good but i go down to a .22 too........after .22 the spores that can pass through are not as harmful........dont get me wrong its a fat chance to get one of these microscopic bacterias but it is possible...............he should put some kind of "permanent" stopper on it
