this is great stuff guys:

GJ- i am interested in the application of the increased sf in a carbo restricted diet, it would make my life easier. i am going to try to track down their reference. a little quantification and verification is in order. I like those guys style.

When i read about the estrogen, i was thinking along the same lines. I still have some lingering issues with Nolvadex that i have not quite reolved, a matter of just tracking down some studies but i have long been an advocate of estrogen in appropriate q's being good for you and have been concerned that inexperienced bbrs going on hersay may be suppressing their estrogen to an unhealthy level.

jb

Do that JB, Jeffrey Volek is the big dog on lipid profile and carb restricted diet.

As for the E2, it's funny but my lipid profile still remais the same even though while on a given cycle my E2 goes sky high. But I know that it's just me.

This is one reason why I include 20mg PD of nolva in all of my cycles. Besides the fact the nolva has itself shown to help lipid profiles (all studies were conducted with post menapausal women) as you noted estrogen itself plays a role. I have never needed to take an AI while on cycle, nolva does everything I need it to.

Always good to remind this, I'll try that approach on my next cycle. Just wondering if you split the dose and what time o you take it.

No, I see no need to split the dose. I take it at night before bed.
One thing I should add is that in all of the studies I have read ther was no reason to take more than 20mg PD.... 10mg produced som improvement in lipid profiles but 20 appears to be the ideal dose.

I'm not sure, maybe I'm crazy, but it seems that weight gain is a must for increasing LDL and lowering HDL, most oral promotes rapid and dramatic weight gain like the legendary Anadrol so I might speculate that there's a correlation betwen weight gain and this negative adaptation.

weight gain depends on your diet.

Just in case I have to search again for the rest of the papers that were listed. Also others may want to track them as well .

Very true, but do you agree that gear promotes weight gain as well specially Anadrol?

however not everyone who gains weight has suppressed hdl.. I have run into a few studies lately that note a correlation between weight gain and low hdl but as we all know correlation does not necessarily mean causation.

The good old stand by: Fish Oil!!

I haven't read anything bad about it and seem to remember reading about it's ability to suppress htgl. I can't find the article at the moment but will work on it when I have time.

W.

I recently put fish oil back in my supplements. It was for cadiovascular and lipolysis benefits but if it helps this way, that's great.

There's no doubt about that but I've done anadrol on cutters. So it doesn't have to promote weight gain.

Indeed, but I know several docs that ask for their patients to lose weight in order to improve lipid profile.

Interesting, did it work well?
