This has made me mad as hell!. 1 & half weeks into 1st ever cycle & i've injured shoulder. Strength & size are up already & was sure this was gonna be a great 1st cycle. Sooner or later common sense has gotta come into it. Think I'm gonna have to stop cycle. Gonna make the decision after been to docs later today. I want to know if there's gonna be any need for pct after only couple of weeks??

Deca isnt going to speed up the recovery process of a shoulder injurey.....surely he will feel better with the added water weight in the joints and such but AAS isnt going to fix the problem.

My suggestion is to see what the docs say and if you need to take some time off then do so. Trust me you wont want a shoulder injurey to never heal properly and be hurting all the time.

In the mean time how did you injury it....... Bad form? Too much weight? And what does your cycle consist of?

You may indeed have to abort the cycle and some or all training for a while, depending on the injury and on how you feel.

But don't give up just as a knee-jerk reaction, at least give it a day or two of thought.

I've got arthritis and rotator cuff issues in one shoulder that make raising that arm above parallel painful. Can do Benches, can't do overhead presses. Can go overhead on the pulldown machine a little easier than when pressing, but still a little uncomfortable, prefer to cut the ROM short or just do rowing type moves. Ironically I CAN do lateral raises which isolate the shoulder like few other exercises, cause if you think about it, the arms don't go above parallel, so they're ok.

I kinda miss doing OH pressing, used to enjoy that as much as benching, BUT I can still work my shoulder muscles fine with Benches, Rows, Lat Raises and Shrugs.

NOT saying your injury is the same as mine or that your menu of can-do's and can't-do's will be the same as mine, just using my example to illustrate that even if an injury is very real and does impose limitations,

it is at least a possibility that you can still work out very effectively, even to the extent that running a cycle makes as much sense as it did before.

Good luck to you.

Just been to docs. She said I should take it easy for about a week while taking anti-inflamatrys. Didnt notice ant time in particular where I injured it, thats the strange thing. Last friday I did biceps & triceps which were fine, but that night I kept waking up with stabbing pain in my shoulder. Didnt overdo it that day either, all I did was close grip bench press & skullcrushers for tri's and dumbell preacher curls & standing barrbell curls for bi's. Im gonna see a propper physio tommorow or saturday to get a propper diagnosis as I think it might be dislocated, cant really afford it like but gotta be done I suppose before I definatley decide to stop cycle or not. I suppose I may be able to continue cycle but just take it easy for next couple of weeks on shoulders maybe but not gonna build hopes up. I'll post what happens after I go to physio.

Cheers.

Sorry to hear about you injury bro, I would keep on with the cycle until you go to the physio. If they tell you it's something serious I would stop the cycle, do a PCT and wait until its healed then just start the cycle back up bro...

Your form might be off for some of the excercises you are doing which may be causing excess stress on the shoulder. I would avoid anything overhead or that applies lots of pressure on the shoulder until a week or so....just to see if it gets better.

id say stop the cycle the last thing you want is to make the injury worse then you will be out of the gym even longer wait till your healed then start again

a winner never quits and a quitter never wins

It definatley feels like my front delt where the pain is coming from. Might bo from the close grip presses I was doing last friday. That was when I could really feel extra strength coming on from the start of cycle & did about 25 reps of the weight that I can normally do only 10 reps of! I guess my shoudler just couldn't take it.

I have seen that very thing happen. Peoples muscles are able to do more on cycle but their joints and tendons cant keep up which eventually leads to injury. I know i was having MAJOR issues with my tendon above my elbow on both arms and while doing bench it would tense up and hurt like hell. I had to reduce some of my weight just to be able to do a full workout w/o getting a killing pain on my first exercise.

You just got to be a bit more carefull.
