Hello all , 1st time poster, but been reading and studying this forum for awhile, great info, was wondering if someone could help with recent blood work
currently on 125mgs of test e(3rd week)
been on "e" for week and a half (epoclone) 3000 eod so far 12000iu. taking b12 ed 2000mcg subl tab. 800-1200 mgs folic acid ed
rbc count 4.19
hmg 14.0
hcrit 38.9
mcv 92.9 (80.0-100.0)
mch 33.5 (27.0-33.0)
mchc 36.1 (32.0-36.0)
the rest seems to be right in range, reading around it sounds like i am defeicent (sp) in something ?? my last few blood test my mch have also been high ,but my hemo and crit was always in the 3 to 1 ratio but now my hemo seems alittle high for such a low crit. Any help would be great. Thanks
Legkick
That Hct is very low considering not only that you are on E, but also that your Hgb is normal. Keep an eye on all the measures while slamming the CloneEpo. Hgb ratio to Hct should change quickly

12K iu is not so much and also what sort of time are we talking, be minimum 7-10 days before you see much in the way of effect on your bloods from E
Iron intake is central to good response, but you know that if u have read the forum

Thanks for the quick reply cycle/ Gp , the time frame with the crit didnt worry me knowing it takes time, what about the portions of the blood test with the higher values or just by a hair over normal ( am i being to nervous about it? ) iron was 165 ( 20-345)
sat 43%- previous e was with eposino went from 39.6 - 52.7 in 23 days ( felt freakin great) first time with the powder "e" never had that low crit before.

Sat is not high should be at least 42% also serum ferretin is also not high 165.They are low levels for E cycle;but should still be ok as long as u are using iron on a daily basis. At the start of last E cycle my serum ferretin was 600 after iron loading. M/track

Mad.....I would not be taking your ferritin to 600 again if I were you...that's way too high bro. In oder to get your ferritin that high you had to have taken a LOT of iron and that is not good for you when you body is not demanding/using it....it stresses your liver too much...it will act as a free radial if not utilized ....it can even be a contributing factor to plaque build up on your coronary arteries.
Taking amino acid bound iron like Ferrochel is a lot safer than injectable or oral elemental or iron salts, but even amino acid bound iron can cause problems if you take too much and are not utilizing it as you do while on e.
Thing is you can't see " liver stress" or free radial damage or coronary plaque build up etc...until after a lot of damage has already been done.
I think a ferritin of 100-150 is plenty to start a cycle with as long as you are taking daily iron. My ferritin is never above 70 before a cycle and I have never had a problem because I always take enough daily iron in divided doses throughout the day to help in assimilation(with vit C too). However, I do assimilate iron pretty well so it would be wise if most guys went to 100-150 before they start e.
The thing I like about this board is that you can always learn ...and I learn from you Mad. Don't think I am trying contradict you or put you down with anything that I say.
My .02 bro
Just concerned

RG I did not intend to go that high;but i did not test fe for 3 weeks for riding related reasons and when i did that was the result;i was looking at 250-350 serum ferretin;the 600 had no side effects whatsoever;but still u are dead right it is way too high(i was using oral(not inj then)ferrochel 300P/D loading)it just goes to show what i always say get fe tested every week when loading;i should know better.M/track

Thanx for the clarification Mad

Transferrin saturation should be at least 20% NOT 42% as i stated.I am not a doc. sorry for wrong info i was thinking of something else, also i am not using E now so relevant figures are from memory;did not check my diary.MAD

Mad don't u mean no greater than 20%? I thought the amount of transferrin in your blood was inversely proportional to your Fe stores, however directly proportional to the Fe in your blood? Never mind, I just realized its Transferrin SATURATION not Transferrin itself.

legkicku,
have you tested your hcrit lately?
i tested today, (at a lab) results in 2 days. i kept dose at 3000iu, until last 2 times increased it to 4500 iu eod , i tested my hgb sat & sun and it was between 14.8 & 14.9 on both days.
2000mcg b-12 sub.

i guess i should not complain( the price is much much cheaper ) it just took longer then last time. That shows how important it is to monitor all blood levels & iron while on "e" you cant think of how it went last time or guess how they will go this time. i plan on going to 52-53. i take 90mg am and 45mg pm of iron, i think i will need to increase iron. to 180-225 per day what do you think? i dont want to end up taking 300mg aday cause i let iron get to low , just trying to find a happy middle.
replys welcome
