for me its night, but that is because of work. for results, I would say late morning, early afternoon, followed by a nap, but hey, most of us have to work for a living.:)

I really believe it varies person to person. Bill Pearl trained everday at 4am for about 50years. I couldn't squat 50lbs at 4 am.....LOL. I prefer afternoon (if possible) or early evening.

I have to lift at 5 or 5:30 in the morning or I lose the motivation to be up before the next guy. Plus I prefer to get it in and done, no dreading the workout the entire day. Mizzouno Giant If you are looking forward to a workout then you are doing something wrong

After work for me, so around 4:30 in the afternoon. As littlewilly said, it's gonna vary from person to person.

I used to go in at 4am as well but only due to my work schedule. IMO it was nice to be able to just move around without a ton of jackasses sitting on a bench or machine bullshitting with their friends instead of actually working out. Now I try and go mid-mornings but you still get alot of retired fucks or housewives just sitting around like it is social hour. Goto Starbucks you fucks!=fu

IMO, the best time to work out is the time you know you can make it to the gym. I have seen guys try the "first thing in the morning" stuff, and fail to make it out of bed. Just go when its convenient for you, and dont worry about all that other bs. holy

Technically, isn't the morning the best time because your natural hormone levels are highest then?

For myself-later in the day...... although test levels are highest in the morning so are cortisol levels and exercising later is better for optimal performance, according to certain studies, because your body temperature is highest in the late afternoon....I find for myself that I built/retained muscle mass better by exercising late in the day.......and I could lift heavier.......at least 10 lbs difference between morning and late afternoon........but as was suggested....the best time is when you can....most of us have lives.......

Mizzouno Giant If you are looking forward to a workout then you are doing something wrong i dont think so MG. some of us are sick enough to LIKE injections, some do it evey day when they dont need to. this being said , some of us like the pain of a good workout. the only day i dont like sometimes is leg day. i dont like passing out & throwing up   :whatever:
