Are hives a common side effect of Finasteride/Propecia???? Its the only new thing I've been using and I breakout lately real bad all over with hives, they come and go but when I get them their bad and I've never had hives before. This sucks because for some reason I'm losing my hair real bad right now and wanted to at least be able to stop the losses if not gain some back. Without it at this rate I'll be bald by next month!!!!=pissed:

I read religiously 2 hairloss forums, and I have not heard of anyone getting hives from Propecia. I even went and did a search on those 2 forums with a few results, and nobody had heard of it either. With that said, how much are you taking daily (1mg?), if so, then maybe try and take 1mg every other day and see if it subsides. The difference between 1mg ED and 1mg EOD is not that significant, but may be significant enough for the hives to subside. Otherwise I would probably call your doctor, and see if he would have anything to add. Hope this helps, Regards, Snowblind

anyways, i had the same problem with fina TJ, its some good shitt, but I started to lose alot of hair as well. never got the hives though........

have taken proscar twice before, 1.25mg/day, never got hives, hair seemed to hang around so was very happy

yep same, take propecia 1mg a day-never had hives (u sure it is the propecia?). Does fuck up my sex drive after a while though.

Have any of you had your DHT levels checked by a blood test? I was going to do this when I go onto 125mg of test a week year round. Make sure my DHT is normal not high not low, so I minimise hairloss and also libido problems, no point having your hair if you dont want to fuck!

I'm not positive its the finasteride but its the last thing I started taking prior to the hives. I skipped it last night and didn't get them, but had 1 or 2 bumps this morning. Maybe its from something else, I can deal with 1or 2 bumps but not like I was Monday nite. Maybe its stress!!!!

If you only had a couple this morning after not taking it, maybe it is reacting with something else you are taking. Maybe eliminate some of your other supps and try the finasteride by itself.

Have any of you had your DHT levels checked by a blood test? Nope nevr have, sounds like a good idea though Durabolin. Let us know how you go.
