In a couple of weeks I will join too! True but you prove something that I've always said about women. A woman can look just as good or better in her mid-thirties as she did at 18 if she actually tries. Most give up once they have a guy and are on the downslide by their mid-twenties.
30 was more traumatic than 40; it gets easier as you get older. But, you do start to read the 'obits' more often.

Dont worry BTB, 30 aint so bad.....what day is it on?
It's been two weeks now and I am still in denial..... And I tend to agree 30 is a good age for women.

it's completely arbitrary gang...it's number...so you're 30 big deal...hopefully we'll all be 60 someday and bitching about that then...my point is why let age be a factor...live your life...you only get one...and I've seen 23 year olds that are piss porr miserable acting like they are 77 and in ICU and I've seen 77 years old dudes with fullfilling active lives that are better than what I had at 23...it is what YOU make it...

EXACTLY, I dont know how many times I have said to someone, "You are only as old as you feel"
deathknell3000: If you are seriously bummed about being over the hill now and decide to end it all, can I have the rest of your protein powder?
deathknell3000: If you are seriously bummed about being over the hill now and decide to end it all, can I have the rest of your protein powder? It's against my beliefs to commit suicide. I just hate the stigma of being 40. It doesn't matter how I look or act. Lots of women think of 40 as old. Also now just because I'm 40, I have even more 40-something women thinking they have a shot with me (And here's a hint.... These women don't look like some of the attractive, mature women we have here at GrowXXL). Besides, I just bought over $300 worth of protein powder from DPS so no way is anyone getting it!
In my mid-thirties I was competing, I don't even remember 40, but somewhere around fifty or fifty five, I thought.. Oh shit!! I'm still training though in my sixties.. and I know I am looking good, but parts of my brain never really believe that.. I am never good enough, and that is the way its been for me, anyway, I just keep pushing, and pushing, and pushing.. maybe I will just collapse one day and it will all roll backwards over me and squash me.
EXACTLY, I dont know how many times I have said to someone, "You are only as old as you feel" absolutely true, and a little blond highlights for the hair, some botox for the forehead and a little lipo for the lovehandles, and I'm good to go for another few years!:bananapartyhat:
I can never understand how people get bummed out about being 30. Its only 30 people!!!!! You arent going to die. When you turn 50, then come back and cry about it.
