I had a partial Meniscectomy(inside left) about 15 years ago , but have had discomfort with the afflicted area every since .

Has anyone ( or know of anyone) had a Meniscus replacement and if so how have you/they recovered.

Thanks

you may be ready for synvisc injections. They help. Orthopedic surgeons do them. Some sports medicine docs may also.

And we'll collect the moments one by one. I guess that's how the future's done. Feist, "Mushaboom", 2005

Surgeon told me that I would probably need the injections and that running was over----not weightlifting. I do not do leg extensions on a machine as this grinds the bones. Squats, leg presses, lunges are all ok. Check out the Stone Clinic in SanFrancisco. One of the docs does meniscus replacement. I have not studies on the efficacy of these replacements.
