Quick question on meal frequency

This may be a dumb question, but if I'm trying to shed bodyfat, should I be eating 6 meals a day(2 being a shake)?

Ya thats what i did when i cutted up.More solid food like meat and your carbs are better than shakes.Your body will burn more fat with solid food. AMINOMAN

Studies have shown that shakes are very effective when trying to loose weight...and your metabolism is kept higher when you eat often.

I usually go 6 meals, spaced every 3 hours. I think I might bump it to 8 meals this time around though. We'll see.

I have always had good results with eating roughly every two to three hours.I also try to keep the meals solid, only bustin out the MRP when it was the only thing around... sonofzeus

I lost apprx. 160# of fat in less than a year an a half, and gained about 20# muscle on the way. Natural ... by diet an exercise alone. I used powders and shakes all fkn day ... along with solid food. i ate 6-10 times a day. Powders an shakes work fine.

If your cuttin i'd lay off the shakes. In my experinace i seem to be softer when taking them. Liquid protiens enter the blood stream faster and require more insulin. Some manufactures lie about how much sugar is in their stuff too, so watch out. I eat alot of eggs. They are cheap and easy tp prepare. Just my opinion. See what works for you.
