Hey bros,
After lifting I knock back a PWO shake, 50g of protein and 50g of carbs (I use gatorade.)
How long should I wait after that to eat? I've never been sure, and I'm looking for some scientific explanation to justify the action...

this has been discussed manytimes here. I just did a search on post workout protein and came up with pages and pages of info. why not have a go at that and post up your conclusions. along that vein i just took a preworkout protein hit of alpha-lactalbumen.
