My husband is convinced that the only complex carbs that exist are yams and brown rice and frankly I'm sick of them both. So I was doing a search for a list of complex carbs and several sites said that PASTA and even CORN were both complex. Now, I know what my gut is telling me but it was more than one site that said it. Here is the site that I feel had the most discrepancies in my opinion. Check it out and tell me what you think.

I would shoot for a whole grain pasta, but yeah it is complex to my knowledge.

Ok, but what about corn and potatoes
Gino's_SheHulk
i would use the glycemic index as a rough guide to "complex" or not. The theory is that complex carbs take longer to break down an do not stimulate as high an insulin response as "simple" carbs. From that point of view, corn is higher than broccoli, potatoes are general high, pasta is all over the place depending on the type. do a search on glycemic index to find tons of material and charts.

Thanks again JB. Man you are all over the place.

I'll bump jb's post. I'd use a GI chart also.
