Isnt the only difference between Atkins diet and Keto is on Keto you carb up on the weekend? What foods can I carb up on, does this mean I can have pizza, spaghetti etc on weekends?
Yeah, I'd basically make that one day a cheat day/carhb up day. It lets you sxplurge for 24 hours and you replenish the muscles. For quick carb ups, nothing beats pure glucose.

The carb up day is the difference between the two, but you need to remember that Atkins IS a ketogenic diet, it just doesn't have a "carb-up" period. Ketogenic diets refer to any diet that put your body into ketosis. Ketogenic diets that contains carb consumption (other than the daily max. you set) are those such as CKD (cyclic) and TKD (targeted). If you can get your hands on it have a reas of Body Opus, or the Ketogenic Diet. As for what you can eat, in the inital stages of carb up I stick to simple liquid based carbs, then later eat whatever I want, including pizza, but try not to eat too much fat.
On my carb ups I always got best results by taking in HI GI carbs on the first day and then wrap up the second day with my low glycemic pastas, wheat breads and etc.
