Never make a shake and then drink it any significant amount of time after you've made it. Make the shake, and then consume it, whey denatures really fast afterit's been mixed with liquid.

and BTW, it's going to denature in your stomach, so whats the big deal if it denatures in a bottle?? It gets broken down into aa's one way or another.

I think Bacteria lowes Protein.. and the longer u have protein in water, so it turns into a liquid they like to infest on that shit.. thats why its not good.

I believe the correct term is oxidation. Whey oxidizes immediately after coming in contact with liquid (water). This is what the owner of a supplement store told me. He also said that the premixed shakes are worthless. Bump for more info

I'd say you've got a good half hour to an hour if you keep it cold. I would suggest that you just keep the milk or water in the shaker and keep your mix in a ziplock bag and just mix when your ready for it. This way you don't end up drinking mud, which is what my myoplex turns to after a half-hour.

I only drink protien shakes in water, ive heard alot about the milk slowing or hindering absorbtion of the whey...because of its fat content and the fact that your pancrease releases bile into the mix, which just makes for one big, fermenting, gooey mix. In water a protien shake can last a few hours at room temp, if u put it in the fridge, i find its good for about 1/2 day.

I've been freezing my after work out shake and taking it with me to the gym. By the time I've finished the drink has thawed and I can have it cold. Does freezing have any afect??
