I would like to stress once again how important the little details are in cycling. As you all know, one of the side effects of anabolics is an increase in your red blood cells as evidenced by a higher HCT. This is a wonderful thing if you are an endurance athelete but can be a potential issue if you are not. increased red blood cells leads to "thicker" blood which "can" lead to clotting, stroke, and other very bad things. using fish oil can reduce the "stickiness" of those cells and help to prevent some of these negative outcomes. what is the message here" take fish oil every day!

this is quoted from the NIH website:

Dietary sources of omega-3 fatty acids include fish oil and certain plant/nut oils. Fish oil contains both docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), while some nuts (e.g., English walnuts) and vegetable oils (e.g., canola, soybean, flaxseed/linseed, and olive oil) contain alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).

Evidence from several studies has suggested that amounts of DHA and EPA in the form of fish or fish oil supplements lowers triglycerides, slows the buildup of atherosclerotic plaques ("hardening of the arteries"), lowers blood pressure slightly, as well as reduces the risk of death, heart attack, dangerous abnormal heart rhythms, and strokes in people with known heart disease. However, high doses may have harmful effects, such as an increased risk of bleeding. Although similar benefits are proposed for alpha-linolenic acid, scientific evidence is less compelling, and beneficial effects may be less pronounced.

You should, I was being VERY sarcastic. But I love fish oil for it's "anti-fat gain" properties. Best stuff out there for keeping you lean in my books.

I take 3 grams a day after breakfast. JB, do you think I should increase the dosage?

yes, i would increase to a minimum of 6 grams a day split up. be good top take with a meal with fat in it. i try to take 9grams but usually only get to the 6g level. i really do not think you could take enough fishoil caps to gain weight, certainly not just doing 2-9g per day. this is one opf those really basic good things to do with few if any downsides and lots of upsides. my doc trie to tell me more than 1g a day was bad for me until i showed up with a fistful of medline abstracts.
