Hello, just a quick question, im using the yohimburn df from anabolic fitness at the moment on the face and midsection, ive been doing this 4 times\week applyed before training and then the sauna for about 20 mins afterwards. Its seems to be doing the trick at leaning my face out at bit, do you think the sauna is better or same as effect as cardio when using yohimburn? thanks
Actually, no. the sauna only helps you release the impurities from your skin. The yohimburn will raise your metabolism a bit, but the sauna does not. I hope this answers your question.
So even though im sweating no fat is being burned? Would the sauna help with water retention?
Yes, it actually would help with the water retention, but on a small scale. The reason is this: Generally, what's the first thing you do when you get out of the sauna? Drink water. Whatever you just released goes right back in. However, the "free radicals" and other impurities your skin possesses will be "purged".
Thanks for the reply, i thought with water retention though the more you drink the less you hold? Sorry for 20 questions
You actually will hold more when you don't drink plenty of water. It's your bodies instinct in fear of not getting more. I can't think of any reason why one should not drink tons of water, unless it's the tap water where I live.
20 questions are fine. it's the 21st one that'll kill ya. hehehehe j/k
So can we clear this up then, Using the sauna does not allow you to lose any fat even though you are sweating your ass off plus any water that you lose in the sauna will be replaced when you drink a shitload after? See i find it hard to believe that you wouldnt lose any fat in the sauna after training since your sweating as much sometimes more than cardio and without the catabolic effects.

Though the sweating is really more homeostatic adaption and core temp maintanance as opposed to indication of "burning cals". basically sitting in the sauna helps a bit, and can help a lot with toxins and water retention due to excess sodium intake, but its not a big factor in "fat burning", though it is a small one.
note- sitting in the sauna for too long can actually have a negative impact though. 10-15 min max.
