My buddy took a stick on Sun and now the site is swollen up like a bee sting. It's about 2 inches in circumference. My guess is that it's infected. If so, what should he do? I told him to wait a week and if it hasn't gotten better then go to the doctor. What do you guys think?

if it is infected it should be swollen, red, and hot to the touch...i say let it go for a few days and see if it goes away..if not stick a pin in and drain yourself..more then likely it should go away though..peace ๐Ÿ˜Ž the Heart Break Kid ๐Ÿ˜Ž

HBK is right about the appearance and such, HOWEVER... be cautious about draining it yourself and watch for purplish streaks in the area which may indicate blood poisoning. Was taking Test Suspension once and had a site get infected BADLY. Tried draining it myself also and it actually got WORSE. Ended up being the size of a golf ball under the skin. I DID end up going to my Dr. (aware of my useage) and he prescribed a very strong antibiotic for the infection. After another week of a very tender glute/hip, the thing "opened up" and drained for days... ๐Ÿ™ Use a hot washcloth to help bring to a head and KEEP THE AREA as clean as possible... Good luck.
