i guess it depends on what your definition of strength is since it seems to be all over the place for most ppl. for example some people consider powerlifting to be strength sport. i disagree. its strength (and leverage depending on gear) in three fucking lifts; three planes of motion. big deal.
theres oly, strongman and of course crazy raw strength like saxon and sandow. its hard to define which system is better without knowing what is trying to be obtained.
thinking of entering a powerlifting comp around the end of February next year. I have lots of general lifting experience. finishing 2 years of crossfit. Planning on adding a systematic strength system to these work out and wondered which would be most useful. Starting Strength and 5-3-1 are geared for powerlifting around 4 basic lifts.

im familiar with both, not just not a huge fan of either. of the two i would go with wendler's program though.

I started the Wendler program the other day. I will still do the faster paced metabolic sets from crossfit at the end of each workout.
