My inner chest needs serious improvment, what can I do to hit it hard... Current routine... incline bar press = 1- 335lbs 6 reps 2- 315lbs 8 reps etc.... flat dumbell = 4 sets 120lbs decline bar = 4 sets wide grip 265lbs smith close grip press 225 for 4 sets... NEED MORE INNER CHEST>..
Pre-exhaust with cable crossovers, then do your chest routine.
Super-Set Cable Crossovers with Close Grip Benches on the Smith Mach. for 3 sets of 10-12 reps each.Do the crossovers first to pre-exhaust the pecs.Use good form and don`t let your ego get the best of you.
add flies or heavy pec dec
There is a method described in "secrets of advanced bodybuilders" by health for life . At the top of the bench press movement ,push up further . Basically causing the shoulders to come up off the bench . Hold for a two count and complete the next rep . The soreness the next day or two will tell you where you worked the muscle . You should feel the middle and upper pecs start to burn after about ten reps .
