If you could only have 2 of these...

If you had to decide between these 3 pieces of equipment for your home gym (or commercial gym too I guess), what would you choose? These are all plate loaded if that makes a difference. 1. Chest press machine (probably Hammer) 2. Back machine (definately Hammer-like Dorian used in his video) 3. Shoulder Press machine (I haven't got a f%#king clue) I only have room for 2 pieces in my garage. I have a smith machine that I use for shoulders, so maybe that can be considered my machine for them. Does anyone slouch or slide down in the seat of the Hammer front military press and do incline presses? I know I have been posting alot lately asking for advice on machines, but I figure a whole lot of opinions are better than just mine. Hey, I'm always open to learning new things. you can pretty much do everything on your smith machine. i would get something for legs if you dont have it. or maybe a nice dumbell set like those power rack things.

Bigman get a decent training partner. Then get rid of the smith machine and get a squat rack and bench press. Sorry about not picking the items you listed. 😀

I agree with powerlifter6920, get a training partner, nothing can beat it for motivational push. A smith may be a good machine but I say get a bench/squat rach, and a leg press.

Thanks for the replies guys. Powerlifter6920 and heyherc-I have a power cage and a flat bench so both of those items are covered. I go to a commercial gym to train legs if I want to use the leg press, hack squat, leg curl etc. Unfortunately around this area guys are more interested in drinking, getting girls pregnant, or just sitting around. It would be great to have a training partner but I'm not gonna holding my breath. Oh wait! There have been a few candidates come up to me drunk asking if I want somebody to train with. They want to lose the gut. All the while holding a beer in one hand and waving a cigarrette in the other.
