I think Scott Mendelson is the best competition raw bench. As for gym lifts, I don't put much stock in those. Its really easy to claim to do something in the gym...we all know how much harder it is to pull it off in competition!

I'm with Erm on this...like Dave said, gym lifts don't mean shit. At the VERY least do it in exhibition. Its not the same as competition but its better than just BSing about what you've done in training.

Anyone remember that dork on the internet who posted he could bench like 800lbs with one spotter doing a one arm curl when he was benching? His spotter was always some guy with huge arms. :biglaugh: Who was that guy?

Isn't that the joker from the Guinness book of world records? He was probably a very strong guy, but gimme a goddamn break. He never competed once, and talked all kinds of shit. I hear that Kaz, Coan, Arcidi etc all challanged him to bench contests and he turned them all down. I guess he's not too dumb after all!

Isaac Nesser is the joker from Guiness. I tried talking to him on AIM one afternoon, and he was a real dick to me, no good training advice, nothing. Can't even consider him a powerlifter. Me thinks he's just a joke.
