Anyone here use an ab wheel? I bought one at a thrift store for $.99.
It looks brand new. It's the same one the sale on bodybuilding.com. I tryed a few reps on it and it seems to really hit the low abs. Since I did abs the last three workouts, including today, I couldn't do a real workout yet..too sore. PPL buy these and then get rid of then because the exercises are a little too tough for a newbie. Can't wait to try a real workout on it.

I haven't really used an ab wheel and maybe I should, my low abs are never sore.

It's just a wheel with handles on each side.

My low abs were already sore from the nautilus ab machine but I've never felt anything like the wheel did before. The machine hits them some and kneeups hits them more but I think this may work them better.

You trains abs three times a day? I've uped the frequency to every workout but now I'm thinking every day. When I used to bulk and cut, I didn't train them until I was cutting. That stuff don't work as you get older.

Doesn't sound like you need to add anything.

rather than do hanging legups, there is a aproduct called ab straps. basically a loop of ~5" wide heavy material (mine are made of cordura nylon) sewn in a loop about 20 inches long. at one end i have a d-ring that snaps onto the strap and my chin bar. with the two straps hanging side by side i can stand under the chin bar and put my elbows thru the straps and hold on to the straps while i hang and do leg ups.

For illustration go here( i have no knowledge of the quality of these products, just a good example of what i am talking about)

I see.
We have them at my gym.
But I will buy my own since the rumor has it that a couple of guys got staf infections from the stinky ones left up there forever.
I think I'm going to love/hate this excersize.
I've been focusing every other day on jackknifes, alternating the other days with pillow crunches, floor crunches.
The jackknifes burn my lower abs but don't develope the muscle appropriately.
I'll go back to the link and order the straps.
your a good man for helping a girl's lower abs.

The wheels are the best! When you are using it, roll at a curve to each side and you will destroy your obliques! Works very well!

I've watched people using them and the wheels look like they really work.
Before I try it--I've had lots of rotator cuff injuries (not so much lifting, but earlier martial arts).
It looks like it would pull my shoulder out...
Do you (or anyone else) feel the wheel stress your r cuff?
Do you think it would reinjure mine?
(Or, am I being a woos)
